Respite Care

Over the years Courtlands has provided a range of care services to the local community.  As more care support is now provided at home, so the need for respite care has increased to give opportunity for carers’ breaks.  Although we no longer provide a room exclusively for this service, we continue to meet this need through regular contact with known participants, advising them of room availability.  Respite clients enjoy all the benefits of longer term residency, with short stays providing an opportunity for the forming of new friendships.  This can also pave the way to long term residency should that be required, without the upheaval of sudden change.
