End of Life Care

Courtlands has traditionally provided high dependency residential care and with the support of the local community nursing team and our local GP practice we care for our residents wherever possible until death.

With the emphasis now placed on ‘preferred place of care’ for all nearing the end of their lives, we are working closely with our health colleagues and Macmillan nursing team to offer a tranquil and professional care setting for those no longer wishing to remain at home in their final weeks.   

Our care team receive palliative care training from specialist trainers in end of life care.
